Meet the Principal

Hello Nashold Family!

I am excited for the opportunity to serve as principal at Nashold Early Childhood Center! My professional journey started after receiving the Golden Apple scholarship as I headed off to college. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from DePaul University, I taught early elementary grade levels. My passion for teaching led me to return to DePaul University to earn my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and for the past four years I served as an Assistant Principal.

Currently I am a doctoral student researching the impact of relational trust and student outcomes in urban education. I believe positive relationships with stakeholders and students are pivotal for improving student outcomes. Literacy and social emotional learning also have a special place in my heart. I value each child’s individual gifts and talents and firmly believe every child has the potential to make our world a better place.

I am blessed to be the mom of an awesome and extremely active son and daughter, ages 10 and 4. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, spending quality time with family and friends, and reading a good book.

The Nashold family is excited to partner with you and your student. We believe in putting students' needs at the forefront of every decision that is made. We are here to support you and I truly look forward to an amazing school year! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns as well as ideas on how to improve our school.
